Hospitals in South-East Nigeria set to benefit from MTN Foundation’s intervention project

MTN Foundation provides medical equipment and consumables ranging from stethoscopes, suction machines, fracture immobilizers, laryngoscopes to Nigerian hospitals

LAGOS, Nigeria; 15th July, 2018

 

MTN Foundation is set to provide medical supplies and equipment to six hospitals in South East Nigeria. Under its Emergency Ward Intervention Project, hospitals in Anambra, Ebonyi and Imo will be benefiting from the next tranche of equipment.

The project is part of the Foundation’s commitment to improve the quality of health of Nigerians particularly in emergency situations.

The beneficiary hospitals in the South East include: Federal Teaching Hospital Abakaliki (FETHA 1), Ebonyi, Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Anambra and Imo State University Teaching Hospital (IMSUTH), Owerri.

Under the project, MTN Foundation provides medical equipment and consumables ranging from stethoscopes, suction machines, fracture immobilizers, laryngoscopes; digital patient monitors etc. to hospitals across the country.

MTN Foundation provided these items to emergency wards of hospitals in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe in the first phase of the project.
