The Nigeria Super Eagles have lost their chance to continue in the 2018 World Cup after losing 2-1 to Argentina in their final group match.
Nigerians approached the match with extremely high expectations following the unanticipated victory from the team’s last game against Iceland, with most trusting in the man of the match, Ahmed Musa to show up again.
A 2-1 prediction in favour of Nigeria had swept through the internet but it turned out a few people had other plans. Nigerians on social media are directing their frustration from this loss at Odion Ighalo who was brought in in the second half as a replacement for Iheanacho.
Reactions have flooded the internet and Nigerians are clearly not taking the loss well, considering the country has had to much to groan about in the last two days.

Painful way to go out. Argentina didn't deserve to beat us

Proud of the team. Probably the best spirit and effort I've seen from a Nigerian team. Unfortunate.
