Nigerians woke up on Tuesday, November 20, to the devastating news of the death of on-air personality, Tosyn Bucknor.
She was reported to have died on Monday night and was found lifeless by her French husband, Aurelier Boyer when he returned from work.
Although Tosyn is more famous for her soothing voice and animated radio personality, she was more than just an OAP to most. Tosyn was a wife, friend, singer, writer, content creator and an all-round cheerful soul.
According to her sister, CEO Zapphaire Events, Funke Bucknor-Obruthe, Tosyn died of complications from sickle cell anaemia.
See how Nigerians mourn her:

Tosyn Bucknor lived life to the fullest, and put in her very best to enjoy every minute, and see that those around her had fun too.
She sang, and danced, and partied, and worked, and wrote. She smiled a lot, and talked a lot more.
May her happy soul rest eternally. pic.twitter.com/zpTq5K900r

Tosyn Bucknor one of the most genuine souls on radio. Life sucks man, may she Rest In Peace. She was a huge supporter of everything I did from the jump. May God be with her family!

I have just received the sad news of the passage of Tosyn Bucknor (Area Mama) due to complications from Sickle cell.
As a healthcare professional, I am well aware of the challenges of people living with sickle cell.
Tosyn fought a good fight.

I always described Tosyn as "one of my favourite people on earth", because it was true. I really, truly loved her. She was so full of life and incredible, positive energy… I believe she's resting in a better place, but I'm hurting bad because I wasn't ready to say goodbye. This world needs more people like her. I'm gonna miss her so much. So much… it's hurting me in my soul. I pray for her husband, Sister, family and friends. May God give the kind of strength and comfort only He can provide. May we make the most of every day that we are blessed to experience. That's what she did. Today I'm completely heartbroken because I lost one of my favourite people, but I'm so grateful that I got to know her at all. I will miss her forever. #tosynbucknor
This is life. Here today real & moving, gone 2mrw just a memory & data on earth. Tosyn Bucknor is preaching to us in her death: That we always remember our time here's short. That we find & live daily for what matters most & ultimately in peace with our Maker. Adieu #TosynBucknor pic.twitter.com/kWUIy3Yrxd
